Job Description
This is a full-time role for a Sports Reporter at The News-Enterprise in Elizabethtown, KY, with flexibility for some remote work. The Sports Reporter will be responsible for sports writing, reporting and photography of events, covering sports-related stories and general writing tasks.
Qualifications
Sports Writing, Reporting, and News Writing skills
General sports knowledge and coverage experience
Excellent writing skills and ability to create engaging content with focus on reading audience
Strong communication skills for conducting interviews and gathering information
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications or related field preferred but not essential
Experience in digital media and social media platforms
Must be able to document citizenship status or eligibility to work in U.S.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required to meet demands of position
