Tim brings more than four decades of experience in newspaper publishing, media management, and press association leadership. His background includes executive leadership, financial management, legislative advocacy, and multi-publication operations. He has served as a regional publisher, CEO of a multi-publication company, and as president and vice president of his state press association.

For more than 20 years, Holly Willard has been with KPA/KPS working in the clipping service originally before becoming an assistant in the advertising department, responsible for scheduling ads, invoicing and checking tearsheets. In late 2018, Holly became Business Assistant and handles dues billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable and other business department responsibilities. While serving in the advertising department, the staff in that department received the Russ Metz Most Valuable Member Award from the KPA President.

David became executive director of KPA on September 26, 1983. He is responsible for all facets of KPA, KPS, and the Kentucky Journalism Foundation. His journalism degree at the University of Kentucky led him to be a sportswriter for the Lexington Herald and the publisher and editor of the Georgetown News and Times. In 2006, he was inducted in the Kentucky Journalism Hall of Fame.

David announced his retirement at the 2025 Fall Board Retreat meeting at Rough River Dam State Resort, and officially concluded his duties at the end of the 2026 Winter Convention.
